Bertie Ahern is a member of the Clinton Global Initiative. Established in 2005 by President Bill Clinton, the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) convenes a community of global leaders to forge solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges. CGI members include some of the world’s largest companies, leading NGOs and foundations, government representatives from around the world, and prominent
individual philanthropists. Every September the CGI community comes together in New York City for the Annual Meeting. The meeting gives CGI members the opportunity to assess the progress of ongoing commitments, develop new partnerships, and recognize the innovative action currently underway by CGI members across the world. This working meeting brings together hundreds of leaders from the business, government, and nonprofit sectors to devise real and effective solutions for economic recovery and job creation in the United States.
